Linux Mint 19.1 Officially Released

\o/ YAY! n stuff! \o/

No, I still haven’t installed it yet – but I will, so hush – and I was a bit sceptical about some changes in the Cinnamon flavour, but as always Mint doesn’t only come in Cinnamon disguise but Mate and Xfce as well. And, no matter if you like it or not, this release will be super duper good and friendly and just everything we could wish for. And hey, it’s also an LTS release which will be supported until 2023. So with a chance your newborn hamster baby won’t see Mint 19.1’s EOL date. 😮 Try it, ’tis the season to give yourself a Xmas gift and install Linux. You won’t regret it!

Orca recommends the Mate flavour for old people. 😉

No, really! I said it before and I will say it again. Linux Mint is the only operating system you’ll ever need. It’s good for when you’re just starting out (fuk all those wannabe “beginner-friendly” distros) and for old salts alike. Make this your most important project for 2019. Just do it! And do it nao, before you forget about your new year’s resolution during the hectic holidays.

Forget about drinking less, consuming less, eating your vegetables or going to vote. This is a very doable thing, something that’ll make you an awesome person. It feels good to accomplish a Linux installation and werking in that new environment … and it’s soooo rewarding. 😉
