Huh? Wot?

He had his last hit, like, 89 years ago.

This newness hit me completely unprepared. All I know is that songs like Bluebery Hill were playing on the radio back when I was a toddler. So of course I assumed Fats Domino was a contemporary of Louis Armstong, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman and such legendary jazzy people. You know, famous guys who are only remembered in grainy black and white photographs and on crackling vinyl records. Of course I assumed he’d be dead since before I was even  born. And now this! In fact he was younger than my, still very much alive and actively nervewracking, parents. SHOCK! 😮
