Ipê Branco

Yesterday was the flowering day of my White Ipe (Tabebuia roseo-alba), a native tree of the cerrados (savannas). To me the most beautifull tree in Brazil, unfortunatelly its bloom lasts only one day.

Next day (today), this is what happens:

Just as a curiosity, the White Ipe is a close relative of the Yellow Ipe (Handroanthus albus, syn: Tabebuia alba), the National Tree of Brazil

  1. One day. One day only? For the whole year? Even my Yesterday Today Tomorrow is more productive: Very short blooming time, but several times throughout the year. But your Ipê Branco is indeed a beautiful tree, Lucy.
