No rumour on the other hand is this exciting newness (if you live in Japan that is):

GitS: Arise goes live as a stage play. I mean, whoah! If they can pull that off, such a hitec spectacle live on stage, then there is maybe hope for a live action movie as well. The Japanese even made a live action movie of Attack on TItan – and fucked it up from what I hear – so the much higher regarded, older, more grown up, more philosophical, almost classical, Ghost in the Shell should be doable as well. If they learned from AoT’s mistakes it should even be great.

There’s talk that even Hollywood may be interested in producing a GitS live action movie …

… but I trust in them even less than in the Japs to get it right. As much as I adore the pretty much inevitable Scarlett Johansson (was there any movie not starring her lately?) she’s no Asian. Nope nope nope!

But for now there’s the stage drama which should be … interesting. 😮
